Ye re ye re pausa

Yeah, a blog after quite a long time!!!! Actually was not able to think about a particular topic to write about. And then my niece, little angel rescued me from this confusion and unknowingly suggested me this topic.

Ok, no more trying your patience……………. Let me brief u about the incidence. Yesterday while I called my sis, Sanika (my niece, 4 yrs old) picked up the phone and recited her nursery rhyme,” Rain rain go away………..come again another day”. Instead of getting happy and appreciating her I confess I got a little, no actually more annoyed and started thinking how selfish this Johnny is? Better than the Johnny of overseas, I would appreciate the tiny tots of Maharashtra who are ready to bribe rain to start its downpour and enjoy playing in the rain water. The lines of this Marathi poem (Badbad geet) gave me a momentary relief in this summer.

Well, jokes apart, all I want to say is that we all are eagerly, anxiously and helplessly waiting for the monsoon to start its downpour. The level of mercury rising day by day simply makes us more restless. Even reading the temperature in Vidarbha makes me feel heat stricken right in Mumbai. God and the concerned people only know how they survive. Even the situation in Mumbai is pathetic. No doubt the temperature is not extreme but the default humidity of this city reduces Mumbaikars to half by just sweating. News flaring in ‘Mumbai mirror’ that low areas of Mumbai got flooded in summer not with accidental heavy rain showers but by the sweat of people would no longer seem an overstatement. Hands carrying handkerchiefs are now eager to carry umbrellas.

Situation everywhere is heated up. The growing anxiety accompanied by increased electricity bills, scarcity of water, incidences of sunstroke, dehydration, barren lands, fall of leaves, parched throats has made eager eyes wait for monsoon to come and cool down the mother earth and bring along with it a new hope, zeal and energy to live and experience yet another facet of nature laden with greenness…….. So lets all start singing

“Come soon monsoon

Let little Johnny be in room

All we want is MONSOON

SOON SOON AND VERY SOON”
